    As a participant, you will learn how to:

    • Navigate the USAJOBS Web site and search for jobs;
    • Decipher commonly used terms and learn about the various special hiring programs within the federal government;
    • Tailor your job searches to particular types of jobs and specific geographic areas;
    • Post resumes, cover letters and other supplemental documents to the site;
    • Apply for vacancies without leaving USAJobs; and
    • Write a resume that highlights your strengths and accomplishments, including learning what information to keep or add to a resume, how to communicate veteran-specific information, and how to searchOPM.gov for series classification flysheets that can be used to search for federal key word equivalents to describe your current work experience.

    Join expert speakers Sara Clemente, director, Federal Affairs, League of United Latin American Citizens and Hispanic employment manager (retired), Office of Diversity Management, U.S. Department of Labor; Julie Saad, program analyst, Student Programs, Recruitment and Hiring Employee Services Division, Office of Personnel Management; and DeShan Mingo, program analyst, Employee Services, Recruitment Policy and Outreach, Office of Personnel Management, in an enlightening discussion about finding and applying to federal jobs.
